Presenter Guidelines

Abstract Submission

Abstracts should be a maximum of 300 words and should be structured to include:

  • Title, author(s), and affiliations
  • Background and objectives
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusion
  • Funding

Oral Presentations

  • 10-minute presentation followed by 3–5 minutes of Q&A
  • Selected speakers will be asked to submit their PowerPoint slides prior to the conference
  • Presenters should arrive early to test A/V equipment

Poster Presentations

  • Maximum size: 122 × 92 cm (48 × 36 in), landscape orientation
  • Title and authors clearly visible at top
  • Text should be readable from 3 metres away
  • Posters must be pre-printed; organizers provide boards and mounting materials

Flash Talk

  • 1 slide, 3-minute talk providing an overview of research
  • Flash talk participants will also prepare and present a poster during the poster session (see specifications above for poster presentations)
